We are Analisa and Krista Loewen. We began our adoption journey in October 2011. We registered with the Independent Adoption Center, paid all our up front fees and we prepared for the rest once we were matched with a birthmother. After a move across country from Indiana to California we finally went "live" in March 2013. We've been waiting ever so patiently since. In September 2013 an opportunity presented itself through another agency - healthy birthmother, birthmother and birthfather both committed to adoption plan, no drug or alcohol use - a rare situation. The hurdle is that this opportunity is with another agency which requires us to basically start over financially and leaves us with an unexpected $15,000 to come up with. Some now, some when baby Loewen is due in February. We've had a lot of support throughout this process and are firm believers that it takes a village to raise a child. Adoption is something we both feel strongly that God has called us to, we have prayed about this situation and feel God has asked us to "cast our nets", both to another agency and to our family and friends for help with this unexpected financial challenge. Money raised that is not needed toward our adoption expenses will be donated to Compassion International. We hope you'll join us on this journey either financially or prayerfully.
Welcome to the Village - with Love and Gratitude
