Manitou Incline and flood help

A familiar site to many Colorado residents. The Manitou Incline, now a legal hiking trail offers two things Colorado residents can get behind. Extreme Physical challenges and the great outdoors. It takes both of these traits and slams them together for one of the most unique (and now famous) trail/daily workouts in the United Sates.

But recent heavy rains and flooding in addition to increased use have put the incline and Barr trail into a dilapidated state. These same rains have also put turned the small town of Manitou on its head. Recent flooding like other areas of Colorado have closed down business and destroyed homes.

An amazing group of people known as the Incline Friends Have taken on the task of repairing the incline. While there are some local events and a bit of news coverage locally there has not been much support outside of the State. They need to raise over $200,000 to match funding for state grants they have applied for.

This page has been started to help both the Incline and the town of Manitou Springs by splitting funds raised to both the "Incline Friends" and the Manitou Springs victim relief fund.

I have spoke with the City of Manitou to seek rewards for donated funds. As of this moment nothing has been decided upon. But I'm attempting to get local parking passes or discounts at local business for those that live in/around Manitou.
