My name is Burnell Cotlon, a veteran and lifetime resident of the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans, La. The reason I am reaching out to everyone is because I am in dire need of your support. Some parts of my Great City is up and running as normal, while others are still struggling. According to the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture my neighborhood is consider to be a "food desert". I am attempting to make a difference by opening up a small convenience store.
Due to my limited resources, I am unable to continue without your support. Any type of assistance would greatly be appreciated; funding, building supplies or even volunteer work. With your donation, I can continue making a difference by providing my fellow neighbors a place to shop without driving so far or waiting for buses just to get a loaf of bread, milk, eggs etc.
If you have any questions or would like to tour my building, please feel free to contact me at (504) 319-5886. I would like to take this time to thank you for allowing me to take up so much of your valuable time and for your much needed help.
