No New Drilling in Populated Areas
Donation protected
Carson Connected is a volunteer not for profit organization
a. We are not a 501(3)c because we work on a number of political issues we do not endorse or support any particular candidate as an organization.
b. We do not have membership fee however, we do accept donations to cover our costs for printing, robo calls and social media. No one receives a salary.
We are concerned about a number of issues that affect our community
a. Contamination from the oil industry
b. The division and polarization that has been ushered in by the current political climate.
c. Education and unemployment
d. Youth, senior citizens and veteran support programs
Oil Ordinance
We feel the true purpose and history of Carson needs to be upheld which is to stop bad projects that cause contamination. As such, there should be No New Drilling in Carson the same as Beverly Hills and some other cities have.
The code needs the maximum set back possible (one that would compensate for the earthquakes), an expiration date for existing wells, proper insurance and bonds required of the oil companies that would protect our community in the event of an accident.
The residents have held back the Oxy Project and passing a bad ordinance for 3 years, long enough to provide the city with empirical evidence that would hold up in court proving Oxy is causing earthquakes. We feel our elected officials should take the necessary steps to protect our city. We need to step up our game and hit the streets, we will need printed material in 3 languages to educate and prepare our residents for what is to come.

Since 2011, all evidence presented reiterates there should be No New Drilling in Populated Areas. We are hopefully at the homestretch here in Carson and we need your support to continue this fight to the end. We are committed to assisting other local communities stand up against the assault southern Californian's finds themselves fighting.
