Billie's Surgery

Everyone meet Billie! She's our new rescue pup. We found this sweetheart in the bushes desperately trying to stay out of the Texas summer heat. The nature of her paws, skin, and injuries suggests that she was dumped out of a moving car. She would not drink or eat, and would not ( or rather could not) move. Feeling that no animal should have to endure this sort of struggle we took her in. She was very shy and unbelievably sweet, but unfortunatlely in a lot of pain. We immediately took her to the vet to find that she had a broken femur- which the vet stated was no doubtably done by a car. Upon getting x-rayed we also found out that not only has the leg been broken for a while, but also due to the contents of her stomach she's been eating bones and garbage which has caused a kindney infection. While the vet supplied the antibiotics, he said that a general practicing vet could not operate on this sort of break and refered me to a few specialists. After careful deliberation and reviewing the words of previous patients we decided on a clinic. Although their operation price is very fair,  it is still a lot for

a student with only a part time job to handle, and as most of you pet owners know, there is no type of payment plan. I ask everyone who reads Billie's story to please share it with others, and any size donation will be a giant help towards our goal of helping Billie get better!
