A Family's Desire for Bobby

Three weeks ago my brother went to the emergency room for severe back pain and was admitted for lung cancer that had spread to the neck, hip, spine. After 2 weeks of attempting to treat the cancer and the pain it was determined that further treatment would be more of a detriment than a benefit. He has since been moved to hospice and given 3-6 months. My brother is clear across the country in Washington State while the rest of his family resides in the New England area. The cancer has eroded his body. Both his neck and hip are fractured as a result of tumors, making a trip back home too perilous to even attempt. I cannot imagine being away from the majority of your loved ones while confronting this disease. I also cannot imagine a mother's anguish in not being able to go to her son during this time. It is my hope that I can raise money through donations to get myself and family out there to see him. The money would cover travel expenses, living expenses while out there, and lost earnings from work, not to mention a certain amount of peace and gratitude through this heart wrenching time that will come as a result of being able to see him.
