I have been accepted to attend a 10 week programming bootcamp
to become a Ruby on Rails programmer, but I can't afford to fully pay the tuition ($9,500) + 3 months rent ($2,400) + 3mo living expense (~$800) in Boston, MA. Please donate whatever you can spare so that I maybe able to program and build what I love.
I started learning Ruby on Rails for the past 4 months, but I have seen very slow progress. I tried meetups, tutorials, and blogs to learn. This bootcamp will accelerate my learning and help me achieve my passion to connect people over the web.
My passion for building things came when I started my first company called KnightTask. A web app that connects students with others to help get daily chores done. From this experience I learned how to manage a team (3 interns), build a business model, and work with remote programmers. Although it was a learning experience, I had trouble seeing eye to eye with my programmer. After this experience I said I would never hire another programmer and do it on my own.
Please donate whatever you can spare so that I maybe able to program and build what I love.
