Getting Out of Pittsburgh

My name is Corie; I'm the one in the glasses. I'm a 21 year old currently residing in Pittsburgh, trying to make my way in the world.
Ever since I was little my dream has been to move to California. I have a strong interest in music, and once I learned that moving to the west coast and being a part of it was something I could actually accomplish, I've thought of nothing more than to leave the east coast behind to follow that dream.
My best friend, Aly, lives in California where I want to live. I've visited her a few times and I know for sure that this is where I need to be, not just for my music but for, well, me. Even if I'm not breaking into the business, not only will my music thrive better there but I feel I'll thrive better as well. Finding a place to stay and a job nearby isn't so hard to do, but having the money to move 2500+ miles is.
My current job and living situation doesn't allow me to put much money aside. I don't want to move without enough money to buffer at LEAST a month of living expenses, but I don't want to continue to feel trapped here either. I'm ready to really start my life, and I need to get to California to do so. And if I get enough of a buffer, I'd be able to more quickly focus more on my music as well.
Your money will go straight to helping me with moving expenses, paying rent, buying food, and other such necessities. $3000 would be the bare minimum amount I'd be comfortable moving on, since the cost of living in California is much higher than Pittsburgh. Anything you can spare will help, even if it's $1. No matter what happens I'm not going to stop until I'm there!

My friends and I used to offer tangible good for your generous donations, but TIME FLIES and Im hoping to be out of Pittsburgh in a short three months! This, and other life things, means that we've gotten a little too busy to fullfill a lot of donation incentives, so I've gone ahead and removed them.
Aly is, however, offering some flat colored artwork of your choice, but she will only be taking four at a time! So if you want something tangible in exchange for your lovely donation, she's got some good stuff for only $17~
