Hi,
My name is Lucian Cuibus. I’ve lived in Italy for several years since I had begun my researcher activity in the food industry. Since I’m very young I’ve spent most of my free time learning about photography and taking pictures. Thought this passion I’ve meet Vicențiu Horincar, who became a good friend because we share the same interest for the fine art of photography.
This summer we’ve put together our thoughts to reveal the Story of the Transylvanian Count Dracula thought pictures. We want to create a photo book that will follow the trail of Count Dracula legend in Romania with pictures. There are many locations where it is said that Dracula lived during his lifetime. Our intentions are to reveal the beauty of these amazing natural sights and the stories that follow the mythical image of Count Dracula.
Transylvania’s sits are considered to have one of Earth's strongest magnetic fields and some say that many of its people have extra-sensorial perception. Many people believe that vampires had existed in Transylvania. Tales of the supernatural had been circulating in Romanian folklore for centuries. This had inspired the Irish writer Bram Stoker to write his famous novel about Count Dracula.
Count Dracula, a fictional character in the novel “Dracula”, was inspired by one of the best-known figures of the Romanian history, Vlad Țepes (Vlad the Impaler), nicknamed, Vlad Dracul, who was the ruler of Walachia at various times from 1456-1462.
He was born in 1431 in Sighișoara and he resided all his adult life in Walachia, except for periods of imprisonment in Pest and Visegrad (in Hungary).
In Romania you can find important historical sites associated with Vlad Țepes (Dracula), such as the 14th century town of Sighisoara where you can visit the house in which the count was born (now hosting a restaurant and a small museum of medieval weapons).
Other Dracula sites include:
Old Princely Court (Palatul Curtea Veche) in Bucharest;
Snagov Monastery, where, according to legend, Vlad’s remains were buried;
The ruins of the Poenari Fortress (considered being the authentic Dracula's Castle);
The village of Arefuwhere Dracula legends are still told;
The city of Brasov where Vlad led raids against the Saxons merchants;
And the well-known Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle).

We offer the unique opportunity for each one of you to research and discover together with us the true story behind Dracula’s myth thought our photo book that we will put together with pictures taken on this documentary journey.
Of course, since today nothing is for free we need your financial support to be able to make this project come true.
Even if we will try to cover most of the costs ourselves because we believe the true story of Dracula should be told we would appreciate as well your contributions. Your financial aid will be used with care in order to cover some additional cost that may occur during our 2500 km travel, for transport, accommodation and the production costs for the rewards that you will receive as gratitude for supporting this project.
Once again to sum-up, the final purpose of our endeavor is to create a fine art photo book that will contain fine art photography accompanied by enticing (sau teasing) stories that will present you a new viewpoint on the myth of the vampire Dracula.
Beside this photo book we are also offering as rewards for your support: wallpapers, and a unique slideshow of the best shots taken during this trip.
