Ryan Kelly's New Bike
Donation protected
For the two or three of you that have been living under a rock in the Great North Woods and haven't heard about Ryan Kelly saving the Exeter Crit, read about it here.
Ryan is an amazing guy who really truly loves the sport. He volunteers at nearly every race he does, volunteers his programming and web skills to various race promoters, and does everything he can to give back to this ridiculous sport of ours.
Ryan had a nasty crash at Grand Prix of Beverly last week. While his body is fine (his mental state is, as always, rather questionable), his bike is effed. Shifter, crankset, frame, and a wheel are trashed. His only riding option for the rest of the season is his 2005 Cannondale 'cross bike. I've seen this bike several times and believe me, you don't want Ryan bombing corners on it.
So here's the deal: We have a chance to give back to someone who has given so much to our New England racing community. For $1200 we can get Ryan a decent Cannondale road bike that will meet his needs for the remainder of the season. If 120 people will give $10 each, or 60 people give $20 we can do this.
