Send Dawn to Haiti

I work for an amazing company called Lifetouch that loves to give back to the community. In past years, groups of people from the company have traveled to Haiti to build elementary schools (K-8). Along with the schools, they have provided wells for clean water, and daily meals for the children to eat. Recently, the Dominican Republic built a college in Haiti. So to bridge the gap between the 8th grade education level and the college level, a group is traveling to Haiti to build a high school this January.

As an added bonus, each year a school is built, "school pictures" are taken of the children in Haiti. Then, later on, when the pictures are developed, a couple of people return to Haiti and hand deliver the photographs to the children and their families. For most of these families, that is the only picture they will ever receive. It could even be the only time those children will ever see themselves.

In order to be able to participate in this trip I personally have to help fund building materials for the school as well as my travel, room, and board. Unfortunately, building a school is expensive in itself and that is before you add in the expense of traveling all the way to Haiti. That is where you as a donor/sponsor come in. Any amount of money you would be willing to donate would help both me and the people of Haiti in miraculous ways. While I am fully intending to travel to Haiti to help build the high school and take pictures, I can only do that if I raise enough money to cover costs. With that being said, I want to let everyone know that if I do not meet my monetary goal and cannot personally go to Haiti, I will still donate all the money raised to help cover the cost of the building materials for the school. So whether your money helps me or not, you will still be helping children and families better themselves with an education in Haiti.
