This summer I started my 2 year commitment to PLACE Corps, which is a teaching service program that PLACEs teachers in under-resourced Catholic schools around Los Angeles. Along with teaching, I will be pursuing my MA in Guidance and Counseling at LMU to add to my BA in English/Secondary Education. In the PLACE program, I will also be living in community with fellow teachers. Although this is a 2 year commitment I plan on teaching for years to come!
On August 7th, I will begin teaching Middle School English at St. Agnes Parish School in Los Angeles (by USC). I will be teaching 6th-8th English with my homeroom as 6th grade. I want to build a classroom that is welcoming, safe, and a place my students always want to be.
As I began this journey, I am asking for your help and donations to fund my classroom. This money would go to classroom supplies, decorations, and books.
