DEFIBRILLATOR AND AIR AMBULANCE

Hi my name is Steve Scaddan, im from a club called Revolution Martial Arts Academy. Nathan Bowler (the gentleman in the video) and Tony Wood are entering a competition called ‘Almighty Fighting Championship’ they are competing./ in the cage for a mixed martial arts fight. They will be making there debut appearance on 17th June at the O2 academy in Leeds. The fighters are wanting to use the competition in hope that the public and businesses will sponsor them in the hope to raise money to buy a defibulator for woodkirk valley country club were we are based and to give the remainder of the money raised to the Air Ambulance charity. Woodkirk Valley Country club is situated on Leeds road A653, The reason behind this is because Woodkirk valley is like a community centre which holds hundreds of various functions, weddings, parties and also holds various small businesses inside its premises. Not only that but this venue is situated as stated above is on Leeds road A653 which is a main artery road for thousands of commuters every day. The road links major cities Leeds, Wakefield, Huddersfield and small towns such as Dewsbury and ossett etc. hence to say it's a extremely busy road. The only other places that we know of that holds a defibulator going towards Dewsbury is my sons school hilltop primary and HSL on grange road, and in the opposite direction, The White Rose Centre. If anyone has a problem with there health around the area where woodkirk is, there would not be enough time to get the defibulator from these other venues and so could put someone’s life at risk. As a club the Air Ambulance is very close to our heart and the charity do a fantastic job keeping the helicopter in the air and saving life’s. We want to raise as much money as we can for this charity so PLEASE, PLEASE help us. At the present time we are only a small club wanting to help the local community as much as we possibly can Revolution has sponsored charities such as Parkinson’s uk which raised over 2000 pound. As I said earlier the lads are fighting at the o2 academy in Leeds on 17th June, Win, loose or draw the lads will literally be fighting for a defibrillator and for the Air Ambulance. I really hope you are able to help us and what we are trying to achieve, obviously the more sponsors we are able to get the more likely we will be able to get this life saving equipment and help keep the helicopter in the air.
