Hi! I thought I would give this a try. I have been sick my whole life and have struggled to make ends meet to pay my medical and school bills as a single mother.
BEFORE anyone judges me I will give you a little background. I graduated from undergrad school in 2007, after some health ups and downs, with hopes of going to law school. I did not end up going and decided to pursue work for a while instead. I got married and had a son named Loki, but my marriage fell apart due to my ex husband's involvement in the military and the sexual abuse I endured from his fellow military buddies and his constant cheating. If you must ask, yes I am a statistic, I tried to pursue the abuse, but got blocked out by the military and politics within the military. I left with my son and we started a new life, with me gaining sole custody and my ex paying barely any child support. I decided to start law school part time while working, because I could not afford to support a child and go to school at the same time.
My son was very ill when he was born, so he racked up medical expenses, thankfully everything has been sorted out and he is healthy and happy now. I am also very ill, I recently went through pacer implantation to help with my gastroparesis and have spent over $6000 this year alone on medical expenses due to this. With my school bills and medical bills piling up, I was hoping I could reach out for help. I just need to be able to get back on my feet and out of debt, so I can afford an apartment, food and daycare.
