Waging Peace, Together

Hi! My name is Shai, and in less than a month, I will find myself boarding a plane to face both my dreams and my fears head-on, and I need your support to get there!

One of my heroes, Paul K. Chappel, has the belief that bringing peace to the world is more than sharing love and protesting. Instead, peace can be brought into the world by actively waging peace and, in order to do so, people should be trained in the art of waging peace just as the military is trained in the art of waging war. This summer, the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation is holding a Peace Leadership Program with Paul K. Chappel (a West Point graduate and Iraq war veteran), and will be training 20 people in building discipline, inspiring and motivating people, public speaking for peace leadership, and much more. I have been accepted to the program, and have already raised/earned enough funds via fundraisers and my Etsy business to pay for the week-long stay at the retreat. Now, I need to book my round-trip flight between Atlanta and Santa Barbara, and I need your help!

I am currently in the middle of building an online organization and campus campaign group called Paint (the World with) Peace, which will help organizations come together in an organized space, as well as empower and educate young adults in waging peace in their personal lives, their society, and the worldwide environment. I am the president of my University's Peace and Justice Coalition, an active volunteer, and am currently the number five Eco-Friendly mom-blogger in the world. I have also scheduled lectures and training throughout the Fall, after I return from training. I have the means, plans, and passion to put the educations and tools I receive at this training to very good use!
