GREAT NEWS !
Miss Mini was saved!
Thanks to all of you!
She is doing great!
She is on a road to recovery!
she now has a very skinny friend that we took in from a very neglectful family. Her care is pricey but she is getting better. Mini and Penny are helping her stay happy and feel at home while she recovers.

Meet "Mini", she is a middle aged Black shire mare that found me when she was in desperate need of a new home. She was living in inadequate conditions and her owner surrendered her to me. "Mini" was underweight and her hooves were in terrible condition. Upon getting her home we realized she also had ulcers in her mouth from having to live on tree branches and other brush. "Mini's" original origin is really unknown, but she has a permanent home with our family now. We are asking for your help with "Mini" after we finally got her healthy from the conditions she was in when get got her, now she has been diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a rapid growing cancer, in both eyes, she will need one of her eyes removed completely and the other eye will need the removal of her third eyelid. The costs to see the specialists and the surgery are very large and we are hoping to be able to raise the money to pay for them to give this gentle giant a third chance in life. "Mini" has come so far and is finally learning to trust us and love us as her family. We have made many sacrifices in our lives to help this girl and are continuing to do so, we just need your help. We have an account set up with the following link where you can donate, even the smallest amount to help this big beauty. We all have a long road ahead of us and "Mini" will have a lot of adjusting to do but love her and she is worth everything we have to do to save her.

II knew Jessica when she first got Mini. Mini was underweight, severely lacking in muscle-tone, had horrendous feet and teeth and was wormy. After a rough start (she coliced as soon as she was receiving good nutrition), she blossomed under Jessica's care. No one gets everything perfect from the start, and Jessica and I have had our disagreements. But I can attest to the fact that she really loves her horses and will help them however she can. They're well and properly cared for. I hope Mini gets the help she needs. She's a sweetheart and deserves it!!

That would be grate! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me get her story out there. she means a lot to our family. I'm doing everything I can to get her story out there but I am only one person against the world so I greatly appreciate your effort. and giving me hope :)

I applaud your efforts to help this beautiful and deserving animal. I wish I were in a financial position to help, but have a multitude of rescue critters myself I'm struggling to support, some of which are also awaiting surgery. I did want to suggest that you pursue some media attention on behalf of Mini's cause. Perhaps more exposure would bring in more contributions, or perhaps even some donated veterinary care. I did share Mini's plight, and am willing to forward it to a TV reporter I know who is partial to animal welfare stories. I think her story is unique and worthy enough to draw media attention.

I have boarded Mini for Jessica in the past and am a welfare specialist for a large national humane organization. Mini is with someone who is sensitive enough to end her life if she was suffering. She is a big, tough, SOUND horse that probably has some discomfort associated with a treatable eye condition. I am helping manage her care so that our extensive discounts apply to her bill. I am starting with an opthalmologist, hopefully Dr Meredith from the Eye Center for Animals here. I can be reached at 5206614522 and in the coming week we will have a surgery plan and will include that info. If it is at Arizona Equine in Gilbert, they happily take donatioms directly. Jessica pays her bills, works, and paid everything mini needed IN FULL at all times. Don't be an ass to her because you want to open your mouth before your mind or your eyes. She once sought free or cheap tack and fencing on craigslist, but that was because her feed/vet/farrier came first. Her needs came second. If she cannot obtain mini's surgery she is prepared to make hard choices for both her and/or the horse. Don't judge what you don't know. Jessica and I have had personal differences even, and have not always gotten along as well. However I do respect her drive and success in making a life for a horse the world had given up on.

Please post your vets information so people don't think you're scamming. There's no information or proof of what you need and what your vet intends to do that costs $1400.

Always people with the negative comments. It's very easy to tell people what to when YOU HAVE NO CLUE what you're talking about. You've done a great job with the horse and I wish I could donate, but I have my own rescue horses . Good luck and god bless.
