Shaver Adoption Fund

My name is Kristen Ruthruff. My dear friends, Ross and Kris Shaver, are raising money to adopt a child. They are amazing, giving, and kind people. They love children and want nothing more than to be parents.



Ross and Kris live in Nampa, Idaho where Ross serves as Pastor at the local Lutheran church and Kris as Sunday School Superintendent and Daycare Board Member. They love their vocations and the community that they serve, but their limited financial means have slowed their adoption process. They have pinched pennies, held fundraising events, and even taken on extra jobs to raise the money necessary to complete their application, but they still have quite a sum to raise. To date, Ross and Kris need an additional $8000 in order to fully fund their adoption.



There are so many children in need of good homes, and the Shavers could provide any of them with a loving and supportive family in which to grow and thrive. Ross and Kris love God. They love each other. Yet they still have so much more love to give. Any child who joined their family would be showered with tenderness and affection. You would need only to see the way Ross and Kris interact with their nieces and nephews (pictured with them below) to get a sense of how amazing they would be as parents.

All we can do is put our trust and faith in God. Why stress the small stuff? It is in God's hands!" No amount is too small, and every dollar brings the Shavers one step closer to providing a loving, nurturing family for a child in need of just that.
