In 2013 and after my study has been interrupted by the civil war that is still going in my home country Syria, I reached out you and the international community to help me find my way out of that conflict zone where there were nothing but the smell of burning bodies, moaning mothers and landing shelling . I was certain that if I stayed in Syria, my dreams and life would vanish. With your generous big hearts, and with the help of friends and people I have met and never met before, I was able to make the biggest step in my life. I was able to get to U.S. and start my education where I am now having a great schooling system and great supportive community and friends.
I have decided that the best way to pay you and pay the community back is to be a social worker. Being a Social worker will pave my way to make a real difference in the U.S, in the world and most importantly in my wounded country Syria.
Unfortunately and with the work restrictions for international students here in the U.S., the lack of family financial support and the high life expenses of city that I live in(Newport, RI), things can get tough for someone with no much resources. This is why I am asking for your help again, , I am not asking much but am asking for a small contribution from you that can help me keep going on my way and finish another stage in my life. You have helped a lot and without you I am not here, writing this, asking for support again
Please If you have any question about the scholarship that I have been awarded from SRU , you can contact with the director of the international programs at the university, Mrs.Erin FitzGerald .She is a very supportive and nice person and ready to answer any of your questions. Here is how to contact with her:

There is a brutal civil war in my home country of Syria. I have survived a bus explosion, lost many of my friends and have almost been killed many times myself. This did not stop me from attending classes at my school in Homs. However, When things started to get worse and out of control ,I have been forced to move to another city of Syria. I am no longer able to attend school, and my dreams of obtaining an education are vanishing.
I applied for international scholarships in the USA and I was awarded a full tuition scholarship at Salve Regina University in State of Rhode Island, but need help raising money to afford the other incidentals including airfare ,books, health insurance, visa and other fees.
I am very sure that from the experience and knowledge which i am going to be exposed to in the US , I will be able to make a difference in Syria and be part of the community that will help in rebuilding my country to make it much better than ever.
This is why I am reaching out to the international community to assist me in raising the rest of the cost of funding my education in America. A small contribution would help a desperate Syrian student fulfill his dream of completing his bachelor's degree.
