BETH DOES NOT HAVE CANCER! She had an a-typical mass of cells her oncologist was CONVINCED was cancer...but it wasn't!

She is still $4,000 in debt from the first round so if you still want your donation to go to help that she would be grateful, but obviously if you wish to have your money back I will find a way to refund it to you.

$1,266
That’s the average cancer patients pay out-of-pocket every month for their care, according to a new study out of the Duke University Medical Center.

Let's keep it coming!

Hi everyone! I briefly chatted with Cheryl today. She and Beth both use the same phrase: "speechless" when thinking about the amount of love and compassion their friends have. What a great testament to Beth and Cheryl, that so many people care and want to help. Between this and offline donations, we are about 40% to our $5,000 goal!

BACKGROUND STORYCancer part 1, May-December 2009:
The background: May 13 I went to the doctor expecting to schedule surgery to remove my right ovary. Instead, she told me that I have uterine cancer. Wednesday, May 27 – surgery day. 10 inch incision, 52 staples. Unfortunately, when I woke up, Cheryl told me that ovarian cancer was also found in addition to the uterine cancer.
Saturday, May 30 – recovered enough to come home. Sleeping on the recliner – can’t sleep on a bed on my side yet. Alice is a new Velcro dog. Cheryl helps me with everything. I’m so lucky to have her here and that she has an understanding boss. Friday, June 5 - call from doctor with results. The cancer has not spread!! Two types of cancer though - uterine and ovarian. Tuesday, June 9 - The results are in: Ovarian cancer, stage 1c, grade 2. I will need 6 treatments of chemo, every 3 weeks. Uterine cancer, stage 1b, grade 2. Could have been a lot worse...metastasized cancer for example. Monday, June 29 - laid off from job...as of the previous Friday. Notified of lay off by letter. June-November 2009: 6 rounds of chemo, 4 rounds of radiation, 3 (or 4?) hospitalizations due to infection

December 8, 2009: NED (No Evidence of Disease) Cancer part 2, May 2013:
May 6: Elevated CA 125 levels.
May 7: Turn 40
May 9: CT scan
May 10: It's cancer
May 13: Appt with oncologist. I'll also schedule surgery and chemo.
