Masterminds, Inc is a Memphis-based non-profit organization devoted to sharing knowledge based around entrepreneurship, professional development, and financial literacy throughout and BEYOND the city, PARTICULARLY to the YOUNGER GENERATION (inclusive of, but not limited to, the ages of 12-18). We do this by connecting future entrepreneurs with the tools, resources, and KNOWLEDGE that they need to be successful.
Our motto is "Master plan. Master money. Mastermind.", and we live by something we call the "Pinky and the Brain" theory. What are we trying to do today? The same thing we do every day: TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD! We train the children around this motivational school of thought and around the philosophy that ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING is POSSIBLE and "'Impossible' is a figment of our ignorance." -Monique McClain
We NEED THIS MONEY to FUND networking events, workshops, seminars, classroom curriculum and work books for after-school programs we are working on with middle schools, and more volunteer activities in the community. Currently everything is funded by membership dues, fundraisers, and directly out of the founder's pockets! We currently receive NO GOVERNMENT FUNDING, NO CORPORATE FUNDING, and NO GRANTS OR INVESTORS. Our talks are based around the pursuit of happiness, self-motivation, entrepreneurship, and the POWER of the MIND... VERY POWERFUL and PROGRESSIVE stuff we do! Imagine the MINDSET we are shaping for these yound minds!
We also have a branch of our organization that is a registered student organization (rso) at the University of Memphis, so we are also very active in the older, college-age community and spreading knowledge to young adults as well.
