My name is Chelsea. I am a 20 year old mechanical engineering student at the University of North Florida. I am trying to raise money to allow me to go to Next-Generation Suborbital Researchers Conference in Broomfield, Colorado from June 3-5.
I earned my A.A degree before I graduated high school, twice interned with NASA while in high school, and am now close to finishing my Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I do suborbital research at my university. I submitted an abstract to the NSRC 2013 conference and was accepted to present, and have been saving money for months so I can attend.
At the beginning of the year, my car's engine blew out and most of the money I saved went into replacing my engine. I have gotten a good chunk of the trip covered, but am still short on funds. I have worked extremely hard to earn a spot to present my research at this conference, as it will enhance my future education and job opportunities.
