Help with Final Costs

Approximately six weeks ago, my dad was diagnosed with what we believed to be lung cancer.  However, the biopsy report released to my mom a few days ago revealed that it was metastatic colon cancer (a.k.a stage 4) that has a 5 year survival rate of 12%. 

My dad will not be among that 12%.  As much as I want to say it isn't so...as much as I want to wake up and say this is all a dream...as much as I want to say he will defy the odds...I can't.  Treatment was stopped as of today as it is doing more harm than good and has become torture.  Hospice has been called.  He could pass in a matter of a few days or a few weeks. 

With that said, my dad has always been a hard working man, making sure we had our needs met and working at the cost of his own skin to make it happen.  He has been there for me and my kids through all of our dark places.  My dad deserves a real funeral with a casket and services.  I am asking for help to pay for this and settle any remaining medical debt he may leave behind. 

When I first began this campaign, it was for the purpose of paying out of pocket medical costs.  While that is still what this money will go toward, the majority will be used for final costs.
