Translation using Google Translate:

My whole family of Pisco Sin Fronteras I want to thank these lines through the great help they have given in my life with the collaboration playroom for my salary. I will never forget you all. I never thought that people around the world feel so much love for me. I will be forever grateful to all of you and the children in the playroom also carry within my heart. They are lasting memories you pass along to each and every one of you, thanks and God bless you always.

Thanks to a generous $600 donation we exceeded our $2,500 goal! We have raised $3,065 for Ludoteca!

Everyone who has helped make this happen, either by promoting the GoFundMe link and/or by donating has been incredible!

Thays and I will keep you informed as the transition progresses. We will let you know when the transition of Ludoteca to Yanapaq is complete, as well as keep you up to date as to how the money that was donated is disbursed.

The words, 'Thank you.' hardly seem adequate enough to express the gratitude and appreciation Thays, Vitalina, and I have for this wonderful thing that everyone has helped and pitched in to make this happen for the children of Pisco. Perhaps the best thanks I can give the knowledge you have...that once again you have made a difference in the lives of so many children.

Much├şsimas gracias!!!

Ludoteca was established by Unicef in Pisco, Peru after an 7.8 magnitude earthquake in 2007. The Ludoteca Child Care Center provides at-risk youth a safe environment in which they participate in any number of extra-curricular activities. There are 40-50 children who participate at any time of day in various activities, such as arts and crafts, sports, lessons about hygiene, reading, and so much more.

Until December 2012, Pisco Sin Fronteras (PSF) had helped support Ludoteca with volunteers and financially. When PSF ended operations in December, arrangements were made to transition financial support to another NGO in Pisco. However, the transition to the new NGO is still in process, which is taking longer than expected. The costs of running Ludoteca, including the wages for Vitalina, the woman in charge of running Ludoteca, have not been covered for three months. At this time, there is no running water at Ludoteca. While Vitalina has not been paid for the past three months, she continues to teach because of her love for the children she works with. She knows how vital Ludoteca is to the children in the community.

Thays and I, former volunteers of Pisco Sin Fronteras, have set up this page so we can help cover the expenses of Ludoteca until the transition to the Peruvian NGO who will assume responsibility for Ludoteca is complete. The $2500 we hope to raise will cover expenses from January through April, and provide an additional two months cushion to give time for the transition to complete. If more than $2500 is raised, that money will go towards art supplies, books, and toys.

Please help support Ludoteca and all the good they do!
