Friederike Stark's Funeral Expenses

Hello, my name is Edwin Stark, author of Eco Station One and The Karaoke Duo Series. Like many of my fellow countrymen these days, I had to move away from Venezuela on January 2016, leaving behind family and most of my personal belongings to start from scratch elsewhere. I currently reside in Texas with my wife and fellow author, Simone Beaudelaire.
In spite of all my efforts to convince her to come along, my mother, Friederike Stark chose to stay in Venezuela, as she was very attached to her small house.
On July the 3rd, I was frantically approached online by a multitude of my mother's friends and neighbors, bearing the terrible news that she had died, just a few days away from her 79th birthday. Since that day I've been deeply immersed in the horrible issue of arranging her funeral through one of her closest friends, who's mercifully taking care of organizing all the details.
Unfortunately, Venezuelan lifestyle is very oportunistic nowadays and its bureaucracy is set up in a fashion that every single stage of the process is designed to gouge you out of your money at every chance they have.
This is made even worse by the fact that my mom hadn't taken any necessary steps concerning her last moments on earth, leaving me to deal with the whole ungodly mess. She constantly refused to hear advice about owning a plot in the local graveyard, making a will or even having funeral expenses insurance.
The aftermath of my mom's death is terrible; I was forced to ask her friend in Venezuela to cover most of the Venezuelan expenses from her pocket, leaving her in an almost penniless state. Drawing upon some emergency resources, I was able to wire her some money to help her out, but it wasn´t enough and the unexpected expenses just keep piling on and on, with no end in sight.
With this campaign, I'm hoping to raise enough money to finally set my mom to rest properly and wrap up the legal mess this terrible event entails. I'm not sure if I have setup a realistic goal, but any help you can provide me will be appreciated from the bottom of my heart.
