Shaw PBR Kennel Fund

Shaw Pit Bull Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving abused, abandoned or neglected American Pit Bull Terriers.  We have over 30 years experience with APBT's, and truly believe they should be given every opportunity to survive.

The need for a pit bull rescue is much greater than we ever could have imagined; as we receive several phone calls each week regarding re-homing or abandoned pit bulls.  The support the "PitCrew" has received has been amazing.  We have received great response from the community, as well as humane societies and shelters in surrounding counties, and even other states!

All pit bulls that come to our rescue are given appropriate vaccinations and preventatives for worms/fleas, receive medical care as needed, are spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before being adopted out.  Prospective owners are screened via telephone, adoption questionnaire, and/or home checks.  An adoption fee of $75 and our adoption agreement must be signed before a dog is released. 

To continue to provide for the pit bulldogs in need, we need more kennels.  The heavy-duty welded wire kennels from Tractor Supply (Doc Bob's); or Lowe's (AKC) are $300-$400; and are the best option as far as being pit-bull proof.  We have space, but need more kennels to provide housing for those still in need.  If you can help - in any amount - please let us know.  And remember, your donation is tax-deductible!!

We also have raffles throughout the year, as well as adoption events, t-shirts, decals, and hand-painted piggy banks.  All proceeds benefit the rescue.  All volunteers, owners, and board members are un-paid.
