Hello! I'm a Spanish Interpreter AND a photographer.
As an interpreter, I've gone to Mexico several times over the past 3 years to work with the first pediatric heart surgery program in Baja California Sur, Mexico.
As a photographer, some of my favorite photography events have been the Help-portrait events where we have given the gift of family photos to families of some of our transplant and cancer patients.
NOW, I have the opportunity to combine two of my favorite things!! I'll be in Mexico this month for some work with the program, and I'll be taking extra time to photograph some of our amazing families! We have operated on 78 adorable children, so this will take more than one trip, but I'm so excited to get started.
Since the first time I went to La Paz (about 2 hours from Cabo), I fell in love with these kids and their families. They've been through so much and this is something that we can do to help bring a smile to their faces and to honor their little heart heroes!
We will be photographing several families in La Paz, and will take a few days to drive to some of the families who live farther away. The funds will go towards venue space to take the photos, food for families and volunteers during the event, prints to give each family beautiful photos that they can treasure for a lifetime, as well as gas to help us get to families who live farther away.
I have about a week left to raise the rest of the funds needed. We have a great team willing to do the work, but we need help with some of the expenses.
TWO Ways You Can Help:
1. Any size donation helps!! From $2 for a nice print to $10 to help with food for the event, to $20 to help with gas. It all adds up and would be a huge help!
2. OPEN HEART PORTRAITS - I'm so excited for this project that I'm offering some special photo sessions so that YOU can enjoy something from your donation as well!
$100 - up to 1 hour session, 10 hi res digital files with print license
$200 - 1-2 hour session, 25 hi res digital files, 8x10 artistic print of one of my photos of the beautiful Baja scenery.
