Rescue Carey, Her Life Depends On It!

Hello friends! Carey and I started The Hitching Post, because Carey's health began failing and we needed to hire a full time caregiver for me. For those of you not familiar with me, I have been diagnosed with ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease 25 years. I am a quadriplegic on a ventilator as a result of the disease progression. Carey's health has continued to deteriorate she now experiences debilitating pain daily and cries herself to sleep many nights. Medical bills are piling up attempting to find the source of her pain. My physical care is a challenge for a healthy individual. My needs are an overwhelming physical burden for Carey in her present condition.

Our plans and goals for the wedding venue were exceeding our expectations. Hiring a full time caregiver was going to be an achievable reality allowing my wife to focus on getting well until our neighbor involved the county forcing us to go through an expensive rezoning process. The goals of this fundraising effort are to finish the barn, rezone and fund a caregiver for the remainder of this year through the beginning of wedding season next year. I am very humbled asking for your financial assistance, but I will do anything to save Carey's life. Please help us get over this hurdle so we can get back in the business of providing a fairly priced wedding venue for budget conscious couples. Most important please pray for Carey's full recovery.
