I'm setting up a GoFundMe for my good friend, John Tice. John was injured in 1998 by sliding into home plate head first and sustaining a spinal cord injury immediately paralyzing him. John has worked hard from that day on to be as functional as possible....He has a beautiful wife, 7 year old twins, and works full time as a 5th grade teacher in Suffolk, Virginia. John has never given up on recovery and medical advances are now in his favor. He has an opportunity to receive his own adult stem cells (from his own body) in hopes to regain the ability to rise and walk again. Many people with identical injuries are seeing results in Florida and Texas. For those of you that don't know, John is a c5-6 quadriplegic with an incomplete injury. He has sensation and minimal movement below his injury level. This is promising because his spinal cord is intact, but it just needs a boost from stem cells to relay messages from his brain.
