The Girl's Circle Summer Experience

The Girls' Circle was created by School Social Worker Michelle Jervis-White. She dreamed up a space for girls to come together and share their experiences with one another, and from there, The Girls' Circle was born. This wonderful group has been in existence for 9 years as an after school program for middle school girls in the Bronx.
The Girls' Circle is a healing space where girls can retreat to a supportive environment and access nourishment from their peers.
In the last 9 years The Girls' Circle has taken on a greater role in the lives of the young women who join every year.
In addition to being a socio-emotional support this groups assists the girls in gaining leadership skills. The girls create lifetime linkages with professional organizations within the community. These linkages serve as opportunities for employment, and mentorship experiences.
We are currently spreading our wings and flying off into the community for some fun in the sun! But we need your help ASAP!
The Girls' Circle summer experience 2016 will begin July 5th. It will be hosted at the New York Public Library in the Bronx, and we could use your help in making it an unforgettable summer for the girls.
The 2016 Menu Includes:
Poetry workshops
Mindfulness and Yoga day retreat
Self-care and Setting Personal & Career Goals
Creative Self-expression- Art with Ms. Glenn
and much more!!!
