Dollars for Deborah - Adenocarcinoma

Donation protected
Due to radiation induced osteo necrosis (cancer related disease) - I have successfully finished a 3rd hip revision. The process involved splitting the femur bone in half to remove the old stem, wire it closed alongside the femur bone, fill the empty stem area with cement, (it's more like a plaster) and move the femoral head arranging it to a more distal part of the hip releasing pain from the iliopsoas. This procedure required approximately $8,000 out of pocket barring all obstacles, and now a new challenge.

As a late stage cancer survivor, I have been in hospice several times only to find out that God has big, big plans for me. Thank you for contributing to my campaign to complete the 3rd hip revision which was performed on April 3, 2013. I will continue to meet this challenge with my indomitable spirit, and channel my energy into artist expression.

The Story:

As I was not healing as expediently from my 3rd hip revision as the previous ones, I suggested to my oncologist that I have a PET SCAN to rule out any suspicions of my mind. The PET scan revealed that I had a mass in the area of my neck/stomach where a previous gastrectomy was performed in 1987 to remove a 9 c.m. malignant tumor. After much exhausting and expensive testing it is confirmed this past July, 2013 that I have a 2 c.m. adenocarcinoma which will require extensive excision as soon as possible. At this time I am processing which procedure to endure. I have stepped down from teaching which previously supplemented my fixed income, and choose to stay focused on my purpose in life and fully healing from cancer. I do not know how long the healing process will be, or the long term 'out of pocket' expenses so I am asking for your support.

I blog on my website, sharing my experiences with over a quarter of a million people last year alone; inspiring hope, providing resources, and igniting inspiration. It's my time once again, and I require a little help from my friends. I am motivated by music and concerts, sailing and surfing, yoga, art and nature. I now have the opportunity for greater evolution and growth.

In 2008 after my 2nd hip revision I became inspired to become a Chopra Center Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga Instructor and a Primordial Sound Meditation Instructor, I share meditation, fitness and fashion to all who wish to enhance their life. My goal is to finish my education at Chopra University becoming a Vedic Master.

My greatest vision and desire is to open a foundation for young adults with cancer, and also for young adults whose parents are dealing with late stage cancer. I have so much to share, fashion, fitness, creativity and my desire to live is as vast as the ocean. As Deepak Chopra would say, all obstacles are mere opportunities for creativity.

Silence is my canvas for creativity - in my silence I am Twice Alive. Your donations, your prayers, your motivational suggestions bring enormous desire to return back to a state of being cured, and productive. Your faith in my abilities bring great value to my life and I look forward to sharing my learnings and teaching to people of all ages. A model, a mentor, a mother, a miracle.

Namaste,
