Troupe 2757 Goes to Scotland

Victor Valley High School Drama is honored to have been chosen to perform at The American High School Theatre Festival in Edinburgh Scotland in the summer of 2015. Schools are chosen based on their most recent bodies of work, honors and awards, technical ability, community involvement, philosophies, recommendations and overall dramatic excellence. Thousands of schools applied after receiving their nomination, and only 40 schools were chosen for this amazing honor.

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to put our drama program on the world map.  This trip is truly the opportunity of a lifetime for our students.  It will open many doors for them towards a successful future.  It will prove to them that even though we may not have a theatre, even though we struggle financially, hard work, dedication and passion lead to amazing things.  This lesson can be applied to their own lives and inspire them to achieve all of their goals, and to become productive members of their community. 

We are proud to be the representatives for our school, our district, the city of Victorville, the High Desert, California and the United States at the largest art festival in the world.  Our honor speaks loudly of the potential in this removed desert community, and will bring great recognition to our school and community as we progress through this journey.
