Calling all Daffin Dog Park Supporters.........

The time has come for all of us to come together once again for the benefit of the park that our Dogs love so dearly. We need some Pine Straw !!!!!

This is the quote from Joe Shearouse from the article that Savannah Morning News did on our community fundraising for Daffin Dog Park

"We found that once the dogs start running around, it depends on the weather. If it’s dry, it will scatter everywhere. They’ll put $1,000 worth in. I’m guessing in a week to 10 days, you won’t be able to tell."

“If they prove me wrong and it lasts, we will include it in maintenance"

I think I can safely say that the Pine Straw lasted well beyond 10 days..........3 months..

I hope that everyone can take the time to email Joe Shearouse and copy Barry Baker to let them know how much this Dog Loving Community cares about the continued maintenance of Daffin Dog Park.
(email address is at end of update)

If you thought that the Pine Straw made a difference....then please take the time to email Joe and ask that he keeps his promise...........

“If they prove me wrong and it lasts, we will include it in maintenance"

Spread the word and get your friends who use the park to send an email in support of Pine Straw in the Park....PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH YOUR FRIENDS......!!

Also mention the issues with the drainage in the pool areas as well as the drinking station.
Standing water is a conduit for bacteria, fungus, ring worms and worst of all "Breeds Mosquitoes."

As a community let's stand together in support of continued maintenance for the park we all love..

We have $ 200.00 to contribute for Pine Straw!!!!!

Thank you everone for being involved and making a contibution to our cause...

YOU HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE !!!

A Big Thank You to our most recent donors

Robert Dehl and his pup
Jessia Bates and her pup
John and his pup " Dixie"
Janet Millar and her pup

The Park has been such a pleasure to visit since the addition of Pine Straw for ground cover. We are almost 2 months down the road and we are getting to the point where we will need to add some more if we want to keep the DUST under control.

As a Dog Loving Community we have demonstrated that we care about the continued maintenance of Daffin Dog Park and most certainly want the best environment for our pups to play in.

I hope that all of you will stay involved as we move forward to work as partners with The City of Savannah to make sure our Beloved Daffin Dog Park is well taken care of. I know just how much my dog loves this park and I am certain that your dog feels the same way.

Let's All Work Together to Keep The DUST OUT !!!

I will keep you posted on the
future addition of Pine Straw.

Many Thanks to all of You !!

Two Wild and Crazy Guys playing in the PARK..!!

The Pine Straw has been in the park for one month !! And what a difference it has made in curtailing the Dust Problem.

" It has been so enjoyable to take my dog to the park and not leave with Dust in my eyes, up my nose and with a mist of Dust all over my clothes"
Jen

We accomplished our goal through the kind and generous donations from the people in this Community who love and adore their Dogs. Many thanks to All of You

Amazingly, we have received more donations. We now have $ 160 in the bank for future purchase of Pine Straw.

Overall the Pine Straw is holding up nicely throughout the park with exception to the area's where our dogs " Crowd Play"

We have surpassed the 10 day mark as stated by Joe Shearhouse in the Savannah Morning News article about our Fundraising Campaign.

30 Days STRONG for the PINE STRAW !!!!

My Dog......Your Dog.........Everyone's Dog
LOVES DAFFIN DOG PARK

SO STAY TUNED EVERYONE !!!

We love the Daffin Dog Park and so do our beloved dogs. So lets join together with the City of Savannah to help maintain it. The dust is a growing problem from lack of ground cover and if all of the dog owners who use this park can donate at least $3.50 for a bale of pine straw to help minimize the dust problem, together all of us can make a difference. If you are able to donate more your dog will be forever grateful.

The City of Savannah will spread the pine straw, so don't worry you will not have to do the work.

Our Goal 250 Bales of Pine Straw

ALL DONATED FUNDS GO DIRECTLY
TO THE PURCHASE OF PINE STRAW

For the health of our dogs and ourselves...Let's Do This..!!
