More power to me

I'm a struggling writer and self-publisher of weird fiction. I've released one ebook in the past year and am planning to release four more, including paperback options, in the next year.
Part of the reason for the struggle is that I have been virtually chained to an oxygen converter-I've had lung disease and am permanently disabled as a result. I have not been able to get out to conventions, book festivals, and the like.
I've recently acquired a portable oxygen converter. But the insurance company and the provider won't spring for additional batteries. As I'm on a fixed income, I cannot afford to buy them. It's $450.00 for a package of two batteries, which would give me a 12-hour traveling radius, with a charged spare.
That would allow me to travel by car or bus to southern California and Nevada, where a lot of "weird" conventions take place, and by plane to almost anywhere in the continental US.
For example, Stokercon, a meeting of horror fiction writers and aficionados, is taking place as I write this. Had I the facility, I'd be able to take a table to sell copies of before Crazytown and any other books I could dream up, network with fellow writers and editors, meet with fans, etc.
I've wanted to be a professional writer all of my life. My injury allows me to make the attempt, and I've met with enough success to convince me that I'm on the right track.
Ultimately, I'd like to go to Necronomicon 2017, and it is to this end that I'm working. By then I'll have six books of my own and several anthology appearances under my belt.
Words alone could not express my gratitude toward anyone who could contribute to this cause. But that's what you'll get -- incentives vary from autographs, free stories and ebooks to becoming characters.
