Hi everybody! Can you believe that...

Hi everybody! Can you believe that it has almost been two weeks since I had my surgery? I will be getting my sutures removed this week! I have been such a good boy that I have not had to wear that silly cone. I like to take long walks when I go out to go potty. That's the only time they let me get any exercise since I am still on strict cage rest. Thank you all for your help with my surgery!!

2/22 Dallas is home and resting...

2/22 Dallas is home and resting comfortably. He ate some dinner and even went potty outside. We adjusted the goal amount because this along with what we got through Paypal was enough to cover the surgery!!

2/21 DALLAS UPDATE - Surgery was...

2/21 DALLAS UPDATE - Surgery was done today and he is doing well. He was able to stand so that is encouraging. The plan is for us to pick him up tomorrow and bring him home for rehab. I will post photos tomorrow evening.

HELP NEEDED! Dallas is a 5 year old shih tzu who was hit by a car on Friday, February 15th. He has a broken pelvis and dislocated rear leg. His owner had him scheduled for surgery on Monday but decided he could not afford the cost of the surgery. Dallas was going to be euthanized but was surrendered to Canine Castaways instead. We are trying to raise extra money to help cover the cost of his surgery with an orthopedic surgeon. We won't know the exact cost until tomorrow but it could easily be $2000 or more. If you can make a donation, no matter how small, it will go directly to help Dallas! If we could only get 200 people to donate $10 we would reach our goal.
