Filing Lawsuit Against Sun Media

Afghan-Canadian women peace activists Laila Rashidie and Suraia Sahar are filing a lawsuit against Sun Media (Sun News Network and Toronto Sun) for defamation.
The lawyer representing us is Jeff Carolin of Charles Roach Law Chambers in Toronto.
We are filing lawsuits in which we claim the reporters committed libel and slander by falsely describing us as "Jihadists", "Islamists" and "Taliban supporters." We are alleging that these reports contributed to racist, sexist and Islamophobic attacks as well as rape and death threats against us.
When the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper, says "the major threat is still Islamism" (Sept 2011), it emphasizes why these allegations put us at high risk.
We need to raise $1225 to file the cases and pay the legal fee to compensate the lawyer covering the case.
