I just wanted to update everyone...

I just wanted to update everyone one last time before the race on Sunday

First, I want to proudly share that to-date, between the GoFundMe site, and external donations, we have raised $775, already far exceeding my goal of $500! I want to thank each and every one of you that has contributed to this fundraiser that will go to the Dragonfly Foundation in support of childhood cancer.

This Sunday May 5th, my thoughts will be with both the children of the Dragonfly Foundation, and the injured of Boston. I have a "Run For Boston" shirt that I will be wearing along with your messages written on the shirt.

Mike's Marathon Run for The Dragonfly Foundation

On May 5th, 2013 I will run my third Flying Pig Marathon. This year, I've decided to dedicate my efforts to The Dragonfly Foundation.

If you are a Cincinnati sports fan, you may have seen Marty Brennaman shave his head last year on the field of Great American Ballpark while raising money for this foundation. It was an extremely touching moment to see the smile on the kids faces and the happiness that it brought to them. My wife also works with these children on a daily basis and sees what these children and their families go through. The Dragonfly Foundation brings comfort and joy to kids and young adults with cancer or a blood-based illness. They bring smile-worthy distractions to families during treatment and beyond.

My marathon training will consist of about 500 miles, so my goal is to raise $500. I will also be making a personal donation that I hope to get matched through my employer.
