Send me to Study Abroad!

First off, let me say THANK YOU for even taking the time to visit my page!  Second, let me explain a little about me and why I'm asking for your donations.  My name is Lauren and I'm a student studying Anthropology; linguistics to be exact.  I fell in love with linguistics unexpectedly during an Anthropology class that was originally taken simply for the credits and immediately changed my major.  Last semester the amazing Professor Millfields who made me fall in love with Anthropology announced a trip to Queens University in Belfast, Ireland!  If you aren't familiar with Queens University, it's one of the top Anthropology research schools in the WORLD!  Woah...Once in Belfast, the students chosen to go will attend lectures by world renowned Anthropologists, research dig sites, as well as many other amazing once in a lifetime opportunities.  Last year, the students helped uncover a previously unknown species of dinosaur!  To qualify for one of the 4 spots, I first had to submit a lengthy application which laid out my knowledge and qualifications followed by not one but THREE interviews before I finally submitted a 22 page paper detailing why I would be a good choice to go on the trip and represent my school as well as my country.  After many months and over 200 applicants, I was chosen as one of the students to go on the trip! As you can imagine, I was beyond thrilled and there's no way I will let something as small as money stop me after all I had to do to get accepted for the trip! 

Now, to the money part.  Originally I believed financial aid would help pay for the trip since it's a school sponsored program but they recently changed that so now it's up to me to find the money.  Anything you can do to help me would be so greatly appreciated!  I know I'm going to change the World someday and this is the first step!
