I am striving for a higher education and receiving almost
no help from the government. I have received
Pell Grants that have covered less than 2 classes. I am currently working full-time and go to
school full-time. My wife is also working
full-time and has to commute 50 minutes to and from work. We had our son 2 ½ years ago and still have
not pulled ourselves from the debt. With
the cost of housing we have been forced to move into a trailer park. I feel like a failed parent having to raise
my son here. We cannot even afford to
put my son in day care so we depend on my sister-in-law to watch him. The car my wife commutes in is on its last
leg and likely will die soon. Working
all day, then chasing around my son, I still find time to maintain a 3.8 GPA as
a full-time student. I fear that I will
not be able to maintain my college with the cost of the courses. My debt has become quite overwhelming and I
feel that my family will fall further soon.
I am terribly ashamed to be asking for help from strangers, but I have
reached my last hope. I will use the
money to continue to pursue my degree in I.T. and hopefully obtain my Bachelors
in the future. I would also like to be
able to pay down some of my debt to free up the money for a more comfortable life
style rather than living paycheck to paycheck.
I would deeply appreciate anything you could do to help me. I have found that humanity is giving and
caring in nature. I am hoping to receive some of those blessings and I hope
that one day I will be able to repay these kindnesses to others. Thank you.
