PLEASE READ:
No snakes will be wild collected for this event. Our sole purpose is to show the world, and State wild-life departments than humane, anti-slaughter, anti-collecting roundup is just as fruitful as the current events, if not more so. There will be no irresponsible stunts, no slaughter, and 100% pure education for adults and children alike.
Donations are needed to help kick-start the first of its kind alternative to the currently inhumane, un-educational, Rattlesnake Round ups. All proceeds from this event, including un-used donations, will go to reform the current Rattlesnake Roundups, as well as to support conservation and education. Donations will be made to RARR, Orianne Society, Center for Snake Conservation, Salamander Conservation, etc.

This is so FANTASTIC!! Wow. This is what a Rattlesnake Roundup should be. Not a bunch of macho rednecks showing off. The "traditional" roundups get my blood boiling every time I see or read something about them. It HAS to stop.

I wish the Opp Rattlesnake Rodeo (in Alabama) had this philosophy. We're thinking of taking our son, but aren't sure. I commend you for setting a great example!

The Leander Roundup is the first step in reforming traditional roundups. We are very excited to be a part of this event.
