I am on my way to compete in the 2014 Miss Black USA Pageant but only with YOUR HELP.

I need your help, to help me raise awareness about heart disease in women. 1 in 4 women will be touched by this disease. As part of my reign this is one of my multi- platforms I am advocating for. I am trying to spread the word to save lives.


My next platform is the Take 25 Campaign which is a national campaign to raise awareness of child safety. Partnered with the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children we are informing parents of how to keep their children safe.



My final platform is the closet to my heart. Building the dreams of at-risk youth is something that I have dedicated my this year to. I have worked each week for the past school year with children that are at the highest risk of incarceration. What I have learned from these kids was more than I could ever ask for.


The question that has most recently been brought to my attention has been, “What is the need for a Miss Black USA when we already have a Miss USA?”

I would like to say that as a contestant for Miss Black New USA the goal of this scholarship fund is to raise awareness about the different platforms that each girl chooses and empower others to take action about the causes they believe in. Miss Black USA is just another outlet to achieve goals and dreams. Any race may compete in this pageant and most of the contestants do have a multicultural background. The ladies that compete have been some of the most genuine people I have ever met!
