There's always money in the Banana stand

Donation protected
So, I have this cousin and her name is Erin and she is great. At eight years her senior I have watched her grow up. I remember going to see her in the hospital when she was born.  I distinctly remember her being adorable but I also remember being perplexed by her hair.  Hair that looked as though its tips had just been frosted.  A thought that I now laugh at because of the propensity Erin has shown throughout her life for hair dye.  I watched her grow into a happy and feisty child with a grin on her face and a fire in her eyes.  I waited for the day when that headstrong intensity would serve her well.
Now, Erin is 25.  She has become a woman who has a great sense of self and of her value.  She has become responsible, generous, thoughtful and strong.  Man, is she strong.  So strong that when she told me that she had a glioblastoma tumor in her brain she spoke of cancer as just another challenge.  A challenge that both that grin and the fire in her eyes were ready for.  She is exhibiting such grace despite the physical, emotional and financial strain that this diagnosis presents. She is presently unable to work due to the aggressive nature of her cancer and the medical bills are mounting. I ask you to please donate if you feel led.  We are so, so grateful!

P.S I know some of you are wondering about the title of the page.  Here is my long-winded explanation...Well, a few years ago Erin and I watched the show "arrested development" together and that is a phrase that keeps coming up in the show regarding the protagonists family business (they sell frozen bananas). You see, the patriarch of the family has hidden cash in the walls of the family banana stand.  Whenever there is a need for money in the family the father always says "There's always money in the banana stand (wink, wink)" The family misinterprets this to mean that the banana stand is lucrative.  When, in fact there is actually money in the banana stand! It is a long story but they end up burning it down.  Anyway, this is a nod to one of Erin's favorite shows but I also like the idea that help can be right in front of your face but you need to communicate your need to have it met :)
