Fathers house destroyed in fire -

My fathers house burned down about a month ago. He works for the city of Macon, GA. The city told him that they would "take care of him" and "help him out", and assured him not to worry. Well, a month later he hasn't heard anything and is in the exact same spot he was in when he found out his house of 20 years burnt to the ground.
He lost everything that he has, including clothing in this tragedy. He's currently staying at my Uncle's already full house on the couch. Any help that you could offer would be greatly appreciated from my entire family.
