Dear friends,

My heart is filled with gratitude this Christmas. Losing my home to Sandy was one of the hardest experiences of my life, but your prayers, good wishes and many acts of kindness have shown me how blessed I am. I'd like to thank everyone--from my wonderful family and dearest friends to new friends I've never met--for your heartfelt generosity. Special thanks to my fairy godmothers, Doreen and Grace, for their caring and creativity.

May 2013 be a wonderful year for all of us!

OYSTER BAY, NY Hurricane Sandy Relief

My very good friend, Kathy Levine, who lives in Long Beach, NY, had her life and home devastated by Superstorm Sandy. I want to raise at least $5000 to help her get back on her feet. A lot of my FB friends are former Doubledayers--please consider helping out a member of our extended family and do what you can.

For other friends, my birthday is tomorrow / November 14. While you might not have planned on giving me an awesome gift, the most awesome gift you could give is to help my friend with a donation.

Donate what you can. I will make certain it all gets to her fast. Because she needs it fast.
