Mayan Calendar Ends without destruction but Subtle Changes
Traveling to Peru at the end of the Mayan Calendar seems powerful. Earning enough money on line for a plane ticket for the aide I will need feels like this adventure is destined to be a beneficial journey. My friend and teacher Inti Cesar Malasquez, who lives in Peru, started me on the healing Native Path 32 years ago. Since then I have been living it and constantly learning from many traditional Medicine people.
I will need the aide because I have hemiplegia (paralysis of half my body) which occurred because of a head injury 33 years ago. Many people would see this as a big handicap, but when traveling it can be almost an advantage. People open their hearts to the handicapped, because they do not feel threatened and they want to help. The thought "But for the grace of God, go I" may enter their minds. So with the Grace of God, we head off for Peru.
I have been learning about prayers all my life. Being from the tribe of Jacob I was taught to pray, but also to back the prayers up with effort that will make the prayers more likely to manifest. So going to pray in Peru at this time feels right. It feels as if a change is coming, the Mayan calendar ends on Dec. 21, 2012 as if one cycle of life is over and what will follow is a mystery, hopefully with prayers and intention it will be positive.
Many Indigenous People pray according to the stars and planets. At this date many stars in the milky way line up with planets, an occurrence that will not happen for another 500? years. At this time people are praying from the top of the Western Hemisphere to the bottom. To join these prayers from the center of the Incan Empire in Peru will be good medicine and a once in a lifetime experience.
Inti is planing a Music Festival in the Yanahuara Valley sacred To The Inca's, to celebrate this change of the calendar. The valley is beautiful not too far from Macchu Pichu being there reminds me of the Dine or Navaho prayer,"Beauty above me, beauty below me, beauty all around me, walk in beauty". Mountains rise in all directions as if you are in the center of a bowl surrounded by cliffs and rolling mountains. We have a sweat lodge before breakfast and then we pray smoke a pipe.
