Trying to go back to school

I am trying to go back to school. I started attending our local community college when I was 18. I started by studying Geology and fell in love with it. I would love to continue to study Geology at Buffalo University. However, with working fulltime i am just getting by and can't afford the move or the long drive to go. I have been given a little financial aid but not enough to be able to go. I have been accepted and I am looking at studying Geography with a concentration on GIS. GIS is a geographoc information system. It allows you to visualize, question, analyze, interpret,and understand data to reveal relationships, patterns and trends. After working with this software at the Community college I became fasinated with what can be created and how useful this data is to so many different fields. GIS Benefits organizations of all sizes. The benefits of GIS fall into 5 categories: Cost saving and increased Efficiency, Better Decision Making, Improved Communication, Better Recordkeeping, and managing geographical areas. This is my dream job and I am only 2 years away from being able to do it. I am reaching out for help that will allow me to achieve this goal.
