I have moved from New Zealand to Belgium to immerse myself in the sport of Cyclocross, whose home is here in Flanders. Cyclocross has to be one of the muddiest, most bizarre and exciting cycling sports in the world. I am only an amateur, facing a world of professionals. I am going to be competing against the best in the sport all season, from the local races in and around Belgium, to the European World Cup races, with the aim of representing New Zealand at the World Championships in Louisville, Kentucky, USA at the beginning of February.

I have gained a lot of vocal support from the local fans who come out to watch the races every week, and recently I have started to receive significant media attention in Belgium. But it is a long season and combined with travel costs locally and internationally to compete, and all the bike parts that wear out due to the harsh conditions the races take place under, I am seeking all the support I can get. I came here to learn, improve and spread the love of 'cross back home in New Zealand so any help would be greatly appreciated!
