As many of you already know, our dear friend Kim Stolfer of Firearm Owner's Against Crime (F.O.A.C.) received his new liver on Friday, April 19th...just as drama unfolded in Boston, Massachusetts. In Pittsburgh, PA...another drama took place in an operating room at UPMC Montifiore. In an amazing 5.5 hours, Kim was given a new liver from the family of a donor in another state. His new liver was functioning beautifully and beginning to reverse Kim's illness before he even left the operating room! Kim has a new whole liver that is 20 years younger than he is...look out! Kim's surgeons could not be more pleased with his new healthy organ and his initial remarkable recovery.

Kim was discharged to home on Sunday evening April 28th, for his ongoing recovery...a mere 10 days after his life saving surgery. Kim has a lot of healing to do, but he is well on his way!
Kim will continue to have some ongoing expenses for anti-rejection medications and follow-up care. If you would like to send Kim a get well card, or make a donation to the "Liver for Kim Fund" please do!

Once again...thank you for your support for Kim. Your generosity is much appreciated.

I posted earlier about the new phase of help. Kim is in desperate need of a liver. As you can imagine, the process of finding a donor is a long one. Kim's condition is such that he can accept a part of liver from a living donor. Eligibile donors must be under the age of 55. If you have an interest in finding out more information on the process and if your are an eligible donor candidate, please email the following information to Paul Fedorka at pf1321@zoominternet.net. (Please note that the previous post had an incorrect email for Paul).

Please provide Paul with the following information:

Your Name
Contact Info
Blood Type

Paul will pass along your information to the hospital who will then contact you directly.

Many of you know Kim Stolfer for being a generous man, a good friend, and a strong advocate for the 2nd amendment.  Kim is a combat veteran (USMC) who served in Vietnam and was the Crew Chief on the last marine helicopter to leave the American embassy in Saigon.

If you know Kim, you know he is relentless in his passion in protecting your rights as citizens.
Kim has donated thousands of hours of his time to Firearm Owners Against Crime (FOAC), The Allegheny County Sportsmen’s League (ACSL) and The PA Sportsmen’s Association (PSA).  No person has made a greater commitment toward protecting your 2nd Amendment rights.

We all owe Kim and Kim now needs our help and prayers.  Kim was recently diagnosed with liver disease.  His health has rapidly deteriorated and he is in liver failure.

There are so many people looking for a way to help Kim and his family during this difficult time.  His medical team is currently exploring all options but during that time, Kim’s medical costs continue to mount. Now is our time to give back to Kim and his family.

Your help would be most appreciated to raise money for the expenses not covered by insurance for Kim.  To that end, a fund has been created to help at First Niagra Bank, called the Liver for Kim Fund.

Please pray for Kim and pass this along to family and friends. Thanks in advance for your generous support!
