Vicki and I (Monica McGee Menier) just returned from Trent's funeral service and burial. Words cant express the pain in burying a child. His mom, Sharon, is an amazing woman who has been by his side everyday of this 9 month battle with cancer. As difficult as today was, she was able to to speak about her precious boy at the service and share with all of us the emails written to her from Trent's doctors and nurses at St. Jude Hospital. Trent obviously touched these doctors and nurses with his strength, courage, wonderful sense of humor and his strong believe in Christ. It was very moving and heartbreaking at the same time. Thank you all for your donations to support this family during their fight against this cancer and to help with some the funeral expenses. It helped take a little of the burden off of this beautiful family. May God bless each of you.

Today is a sad day....we know...
Today is a sad day....we know that Trent sits with his Maker and is now pain free. Please keep his mother, Sharon, and the rest of his family in your prayers today as they place him at his final resting place at 1:00 today. Thanks again to everyone for prayers and monetary donations. God bless you all!

We had a goal of $5,000 a while back to help the family with living expenses and we met and surpassed that goal. It was updated this morning to make the funeral expense goal an additional $2,500. Funerals, burial plots, headstones, etc. are quite expensive

Update on Trent: Well, he’s had some setbacks. The chemo regimen wasn’t working as well as anticipated, so they resumed the really strong chemo he was originally on and added a new one. He didn’t tolerate it very well and ended up in ICU due to difficulty breathing, low oxygen level, and low heart rate. They found a clot in his leg yesterday and started him on a med to hopefully dissolve it. He’s still in ICU, but his oxygen levels are somewhat better and he’s on a medication that is helping his heart rate. He’s still hurting some and has some shortness of breath, but is good spirits. And he’s eating a little more too – so that’s helping. They are hoping to get out of ICU and to a regular room soon. All thoughts and Prayers are appreciated! Thanks & God Bless!

The kindness, generosity, and joyous love of family, friends, and people who don't even know Trent, but want to help, has me in tears. They way people step up with there hearts open to support others when there down literally has me in tears. Thanks to all of you, with much love and God Bless!

This is an awesome idea. I've been wondering how I can help from Lake Charles. I'm not able to get to Opelousas to help with the fundraisers over there. Thanks Vicki! Give Sharon and Trent a hug and kiss from me.
