I am trying to save our home. We need to pay back mortgage payments.
I broke my foot a while back and the healing process was insanely slow. It kept me from working for 10 months. It was impossible to avoid falling behind on our bills. We have continued to struggle to catch up.
We've had over 130 days of rain since October. This endless rain has caused innumerable delays on jobs and cost me too many job opportunities. Our income has been reduced as a result making it an even steeper hill to climb to catch up on payments. Losing our home is imminent if we cannot pay this lump sum of $5,600 to the mortgage company in the next 45 days.
This loss will be devastating for our daughter. Teagan has some hefty challenges in and out of school due to her ADHD and disparities beyond her control. Her accademic and behavioral difficulties increase tenfold when she's under stress. She struggles with her less than ideal socio-economic status and the negative reception of her behavioral issues. Teagan craves the normalcy of her peers. We're terrified about not only the calamity of losing our home and the logistical nightmare that will ensue but even more so the cascade of negative impacts this loss and displacement will have on our daughter.
Asking for assisstance and airing these troubles is terrifcally compromising. My wife, daughter, and I are accustomed to giving help not asking for it, and finding the positives in our life. But we've come to grips with the fact that it is time to admit we need help, any help we can get. If it's possible, any gesture will be valued and treasured.
