So sad to have to write this, but RIP Codie. You beautiful, strong wee pup. Absolutely heartbroken for this family. Thank you everyone for your donations, and the money raised will go to pay the veterinary bills from the past few weeks. Thoughts are with the family at this hard time. RIP wee woman. <3

Codie is a four year old collie. The dog returned home yesterday morning for his owner to find that Codie had been savagely burnt. The burns covered Codie's entire body. The burns were so severe that the dogs ribs and other joints were clearly visible through the burnt flesh. This was a horrific attack seemingly sustained from two youths. They covered the harmless creature in petrol and set it alight.
As a dog lover myself, this story broke my heart. I would like to raise money to help pay for Codie's medical bills. The dog is still at the vets where it shall have to stay for another few days until Codie can eat by itself.

Dear Tara as a Border Collie lover I donated 10 Pounds to the course for Codi to get well very soon so she can be returned to her loving family. The love of a friends Border Collie when I was diagnosed with melanoma five years ago here in Queensland had change my life forever and its terribly heart renching to see a beautiful dog like Cody suffer so much. I just pray Jesus in your holy spirit that you will lift up Cody the Border Collie that she is one of your beautiful creation that she will be HEALED NOW in your name and be restored back to health and pain gone away! Hope that she restored to be her wonderful family very soon....Thank you Jesus, thank you Lord!

Tara I doubt anyone would expect you to go to the trouble of thanking them individually. But your attitude of helping as been an inspiration to many people and look at what your steps to help have achieved! Your donation page has shown the good in folk for a change, it's just amazing!

I have just sent over a small donation via Paypal and hope that the remaining money can be raised soon. Best of luck to Codie who was forced through a horrendous ordeal by malicious, brainless thugs who obviously had nothing better to do with their time than mutilating a defenceless animal. Hopefully the PSNI will be able to get to the bottom of this case and bring her attackers to justice! xxx
